Rat-Man: Pac-Man Reimagined

Rat-Man was made as a video game skill-builder. We had about two weeks to develop a concept, assets, and work with other teams to put together a playable game. As part of a two-person design team, I was responsible for the UI elements and layout, background, and helped develop the color scheme and style. For this post, all of the artwork shown is my own.

Below are some of our brainstorming ideas. We were thinking about tunnels, classic arcades, bitmaps, and isometric drawings. From these, we solidified the idea of the cat and mouse interactions and the purple and yellow color palette

Once we decided on a direction, it was time to start creating assets to be used. This project was a great opportunity to collaborate with sound designers, computer programmers, composers, and narrative designers to quickly create something new.
